She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Nathalee Wayman, and her loving husband of 58 years Charles Thomas Puckett.

She is survived by her children, son Greg Puckett (SiLena) of Bella Vista and daughter Audie Potts (Bryan) of San Antonio, Texas. She is survived by five grandchildren, Charlie Puckett and Katie Puckett of Bella Vista, Lindsay Lebahn (Jake) of Tecumseh, Kansas, Brandon Potts (Kayla) of Conroe, Texas, and Mallory Potts of San Antonio; by one great grandson Lawson Lebahn of Tecumseh, Kansas; by Mellie Jo Owen (Wayne) of Monticello and Gary Wayman (Terri) of Claremore, Oklahoma; and also by the numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that she loved and cared for deeply, as they did her.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She dedicated the many years of her life to family and as a devoted elementary school teacher and Principal, and as a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock, serving as a hostess, member of the bereavement committee and member of the Wisdom Sunday School Class.

Margie was a 1954 graduate of Arkansas A&M College and earned her Master of Education Degree from The University of Central Arkansas. She began her life-long education career in Watson Chapel for one and half years, followed by two years in Havelock, North Carolina, and 15 years teaching with the Little Rock School District at Mitchell Elementary, Brady Elementary, and ultimately as Principal at Western Hills Elementary for 15 years, retiring in 1992.

Margie was a member of Little Rock Retired Teachers Association (President 2008-2010), Delta Kappa Gamma, Kappa Kappa Iota, and Phi Delta Kappa (President 1989-1990).

Margie was an avid bridge player and looked forward to her weekly games of fun and fellowship with her friends. She was a passionate Razorbacks sports fan. After attending her first Razorback football game in 1948, she supported the Hogs throughout her life, attending many football bowl games and conference and NCAA basketball tournaments. And, if the Hogs were on television, she was watching.
