Nathaniel Watson Redditt

of Little Rock, AR

November 4, 1936 - March 12, 2021

Nathaniel Watson Redditt of Little Rock, AR, crossed over to be with his Father in Heaven on March 12, 2021. He was 84 years old.

Watson, as he was affectionately known, was born in Casa, AR on November 4, 1936. He married Judith Gail Allen of Alicia, AR February 15, 1964. They were married for 41 years until her death July 3, 2005. He was employed with American Airlines for 35 years
.
He was pre-deceased by his wife, his mother and father, Nathan and Opal Redditt, a sister, Lula Redditt Hurley, a sister, Patricia Dygard, and nephews, Gregory Allen Harvey, Thomas Dygard, and John Hurley.

He is survived by a daughter, Chea Redditt (Roy) of Claremore, OK; son, Nathan Allen Redditt of Tulsa, OK, and daughter, Amy Cullers (Sean) of Maumelle, AR, and two grandsons, Dylan Nathaniel Cullers, and Zachary Allen Cullers, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

The love he had for his grandsons was truly unconditional. Dylan, he called Buddy Rough, and Zac, he called Little Buddy. ''Papa'' was a big part of their lives, and he adored them, as they adored him. For Dylan, he was a great role model, always supportive in anything he was doing. Dylan says that when Papa would pick him up from school, he would let him sit in his lap and drive his red truck, without Mom and Dad knowing. It was their ''little secret''. Papa was always joking around, and always made him feel loved. For Zachary, he was loving, kind, fun to be around, always helped him with his reading. Zac remembers the Cookies and Cream shakes he used to make for Nana, him and Dylan. Zac says he was ''just awesome, and the right guy to be my Papa''. Papa was always there for them when they needed him, no matter what, or what for and they had many laughs together. He always thought it was funny that his grandsons were much taller than their mom, and he would laugh that infectious laugh when he made fun of Zachary's ponytail, and Dylan's dark blonde hair and red beard. They were his joy.

Watson had an unending sense of humor, and was always full of wit. He was a wise man and had a practical outlook on life. He was always caring and willing to help others and was always there for others when needed. He was a wonderful person, teaching many from his own mistakes. The Serenity Prayer, in its entirety, was not just a prayer, but words to live by. We have been blessed to have him for our father, and grandfather.

He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and furniture restoration, then later in life, enjoyed landscaping and reading. He mostly enjoyed spending time with friends and family, and was often referred to as a ''Tough Ol' Bird''. He was the perfect example of someone who turned a life-changing negative into a life-sustaining positive for many people. He was a man who had a personal relationship with the Lord and we find peace knowing we will be with him again. In the meantime, he leaves a hole no one will ever fill.

The family would like to extend eternal gratitude to Nicole, Courtney, Vickie, and Chaplain Kathy at Kindred Hospice. The care he received from these ladies as well as many others was above and beyond anything a family could ask for.
