Columbus C. Richmond, age 86 of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this life on Monday, February 22nd, 2021 at his home. He was born in Swifton, Arkansas on September 4th, 1934 to Eligh David Richmond and Eva Lene Milligan Richmond.

Columbus worked in ministry for the Church of God, along with his wife, Glenda for 37 years and went on to minister with the Assemblies of God for 20 plus years. He never missed an opportunity to witness and tell others about his Lord and Saviour. His greatest joy came from talking about the Lord and his greatest talent was talking to people. He never met a stranger and could make anyone feel at ease. Columbus loved getting together with his family and old friends for a good visit. He enjoyed going to the coffee shop and having coffee with his buddies. Columbus was a veteran of the United States Army and was currently a member of the Marshall Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include two sons, John Richmond of Marshall and David Richmond and wife Betty Jo of Little Rock; grandchildren, Josie Richmond of Little Rock, Ethan Richmond and Morgan Richmond, both of Searcy; one sister, Mary Ann Hester and husband Dan of Mississippi; brother-in-law, George Cooper of Alabama; and many other extended family, church family and friends who will also mourn his passing.

Columbus is preceded in death by his parents, Eligh and Eva Richmond; his wife of 57 years, Glenda Charlene Richmond; his mother and father-in-law, Cleda and Arnold DeLoach; siblings, Oral Richmond, Arthur Richmond, Willie Richmond, Luchin Richmond, Beatrice Smith, Wenona Allsup and two infant brothers; and his beloved Pastor and close friend, Bro. Phillip Clark.

Funeral services for Bro. Richmond will be 11:00 AM Saturday, February 27th, 2021 at Marshall Assembly of God Church with Bro. Sam Horton and Bro. Bently Massey officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 till 11:00 AM preceding the service. Burial will be in Marshall Memorial Gardens where Columbus will be laid to rest beside his wife, Glenda Charlene Richmond who passed away in February of 2015. Bearers will be Steve Richmond, Phillip Turner, Brent Clark, B.J. Rea, Randy McCallister and Brandon McCallister. Honorary bearers will be Larry Clingings, nieces, nephews and his coffee friends at Harps.
