Martha Quinn, age 78, of Harrison, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2021, at Willard Walker Hospice Home. She was born January 25, 1943, in Stuttgart, Arkansas, to Earna and Dorothy (Kirchoff) Ford.

Martha was a member of Elmwood Baptist Church where she was very involved, sang in the choir, and had many wonderful, dear friends. She married Jim Quinn on June 7, 1980, in Chicago, Illinois. They moved to Harrison 19 years ago from Lombard, Illinois. She was valedictorian of her Mayflower, Arkansas High School class and was an administrative assistant for the decades of her working life. She was very skilled in various artistic string and yarn work being able to recreate anything, including detailed cross-stitch. She recently focused on old barns and a historic local service station; she was always making something. She was a voracious reader, loved her cats, the TV show Jeopardy, scrabble, hummingbirds, cooking, and maintaining a recipe collection that she shared with family and friends. Martha was a big Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed Razorback football.

Martha is survived by her husband, James Quinn, of Harrison; her sons and daughters-in-law, Earna Troy Lane of Vilonia, Arkansas, Coy Ray and Kathleen Lane of Faribault, Minnesota, James Cassidy and Jackie Quinn of Villa Park, Illinois, and Edward Evan and Palak Quinn of Lombard, Illinois; her daughters, Sandra Gail Monty (Russell Reynolds) of Rockport, Texas and Martha Ann Meyers of Harrison; ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.


Visitation was Sunday, February 21, 2021, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.

The funeral service was Monday, February 22, 2021, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home with Ron Malone officiating.

Interment was in Maple Leaf Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ronnie Watkins, Earna Troy, Edward Evan, Jacob Troy, Kristopher Scott, and Jacob Greenlee.
