Imogene Duncan Nelson, 92, of Greenbrier, passed into the loving arms of her Savior on Friday, January 29, 2021. She was born January 23, 1929 in Quitman to Donie Thomas and Martie Rachel Sims Duncan.

Imogene was always a woman who everyone looked to for endless smiles, laughs, joy, and positivity. Throughout her life, she worked for many different organizations and in an assortment of capacities. Her ability to adapt to wherever she was placed in life made her very valued, not only as an employee, but as a friend and someone you could always depend on. The love of her life was her husband, Earl. They were privileged with nearly 73 years together and have endless stories to vouch for their committed marriage and devotion to one another. Though she never had biological children, her heart poured out an abundance of love and devotion for many nieces, nephews, and children from all places and ages who were blessed by the care and stability of a ''mom.'' A great cook and Christian woman, her life of 92 years laid a path of strength, hope, and faith that will always be remembered by many. She will be missed, but her memory will be cherished, and her legacy will continue through those who loved and cared for her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Odis Duncan and Amos Duncan, and her sisters, Clara Coston, Helen Langston, and Athelene McDaniel.

Imogene is survived by her husband of nearly 73 years, Thomas ''Earl'' Nelson; brother, Don Duncan, of Oelwein, Iowa; sister, Corene Morgan, of Bellaire, Arkansas, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

A Graveside service will be Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Dermott Cemetery in Dermott.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, face coverings will be required, and social distancing will be observed when in attendance.

The family requests memorials in Imogene's name be made to Bellaire Baptist Church, 2596 US-65, Dermott, AR 71638.
