Gerald Treat passed onto his heavenly home on January 20, 2021. He was born in Mountain Home, AR on August 27, 1933 to Waldo H. and Lena (Reed) Treat.

Gerald graduated at Mountain Home High School in 1953. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked as a Letter Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, where he retired. He was a Member of Eastside Baptist Church in Mountain Home.
He was a loving husband and father. He married Anita Morris on May 22, 1953; she survives at home.
Gerald loved being with family and friends. His life was full of humor and loved cutting up with his grandkids and great grandkids. He enjoyed sharing his love for God with family and friends.

He loved to garden and share the harvest with family and friends. He would captivate his audience with his stories of years past. He enjoyed playing music and visiting with friends.

Gerald loved traveling with his wife Anita. Gerald and Anita were married for 67 years and he loved her so much.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Barbara Chapman; one great granddaughter, Raelyn Judd; one nephew, Byron Chapman; and one brother-in-law, Roy D. Reeves.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Anita; son, Michael (Mary) Treat of Salem, Arkansas; daughter, Brenda Caple of Mountain Home, Arkansas; eight grandchildren, Jessica (Chris) Thornhill of Plainville, TX, Justine (Pete) Mohn of Paris, MO, Robert (Jennifer) Treat of Kempner, TX, Deborah Martin of Salem, AR, Lydia (Jesse) Wilson of Licking, MO, Jason Caple of Mountain Home, AR, James A. Caple of Mountain Home, AR, Jay Caple of Kansas City, MO; eighteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; two sisters, Joan (Howard) Reeves, Joyce Reeves; one brother-in-law, Lonnie Chapman; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held at Roller Funeral Home on Monday, January 25, 2021 from 12-2 p.m. followed by a graveside service at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
