Sean Stem, 52, of Jonesboro, passed away Monday, January 4, in Grubbs. He was born January 8, 1968, in Jonesboro, to George and Janice Stem. Sean was a graduate of Valley View High School and began working in construction in 1987 at Builders of Jonesboro; then, Construction Network Inc. from 1997 until present, where he served as President.
He had multiple business interest with partners, George Stem, his dad and Ryan Kibler, his brother-in-law.
They had several real estate ventures, a cabinet business, ambulance service (Medic One Ambulance), among other endeavors.
Most recently they entered into a partnership with Nick Warren, in Tommy Express Carwash.
Sean was very involved in the early development of Joe Mac Campbell Park.
He was serving on the board of Variance and Adjustments for the City of Jonesboro.
He served on Transportation Advisory Committee for the City of Jonesboro.
He also was appointed to other various advisory committees for the community.
Sean enjoyed flying, deep sea fishing and traveling with family to Disney world.
He served others, doing projects for his children and family, it made him happy to make others happy. His biggest love was his family; teasing his kids, being the biggest sarcastic jokester with everything and everyone. He said his love language was sending clips of funny shows to friends and family.
He loved his dogs, coaching and supporting his kids and stepkids in their adventures and achievements.
Above all he was a loving husband, caring father and stepfather, son and brother and friend.
Preceding him in death are his grandfather, Albert Stem and his grandmother, Christine Hoeft.
Survivors include his parents; wife, Amy Stem; son, Hayden (Kady) Stem; daughters, Ashley (Eric) Burns; Macy (Caleb) Moss; one grandchild on the way; sister, Kristal (Ryan) Kibler; grandmother, Elloie Stem; stepsons, Jack Little and Will Little; stepdaughter, Ava Little; and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm, Monday, January 11, at Central Baptist Church with Archie Mason officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Keith Chitmon, Jeff Housley, Derek Vinson, Kevin Bailey, Anthony Ditta and Casey Caples. Honorary bearers include Ryan, Colton, Brody, Slade, Jagger Kibler, Caleb Moss, Eric Burns, Jack and Will Little, Mike McNeese and CNI Family. Burial follows at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation is at the church from 1:00pm until time of service.
