Joe Gordon Lancaster, Jr.I am a Veteran.

of Benton, AR

March 21, 1939 - December 25, 2020

Joe Gordon Lancaster, Jr., 81, of Benton, passed away on December 25, 2020. He was born March 21, 1939 in Dallas, Texas to Wilma Campbell and Joe Gordon Lancaster, Sr.

Joe was an outgoing and friendly man, never meeting a stranger. He was a jokester and always brought a light-hearted side of things to a conversation. He loved all his children and was an outstanding and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to so many. Joe also served honorably in the United States Air Force. He spent 45 years of his life dedicated to hospital maintenance and excelled in all he did. It was through his occupation that he met his loving and devoted wife, Charlene, along with her children. They were equally privileged to spend life together for 40 years and raise their children with one another. You could often find Joe fishing or reading, but you could always be assured that whatever he was doing, he was spreading kindness, joy, and a whole lot of humor wherever he was. He will be missed, but his memory will be cherished and his legacy will continue on through those who loved and cared for him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Les Lancaster; sister in law, Patsy Lancaster, and a nephew, David Lancaster.

Joe is survived by his wife, Charlene; his children, Robert Stephen Lancaster, of Virginia, Melanie Marie Hall, of Arkansas, and Lisa Wheeler, of Colorado; seven grandchildren; a sister, Elaine Gilmer, of Dallas, Texas; one nephew, Michael Lancaster, of Dallas, Texas, and many other extended family members and friends.
