Cynthia Carolyn Baker, age 86 of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this life on Monday, December 21st, 2020 at Highland Court in Marshall, Arkansas. She was born in Gastonia, North Carolina on June 17th, 1934 to William Kirkpatrick Reid and Nell Ferguson Reid.

Carol worked for Social Services in Searcy County of 10 plus years. She was responsible for all the children in Searcy County and took her job very seriously-the well-being of the kids being her top priority. After she left Social Services, she went to work for Sossaman's where she got to do what she loved most-working with plants and flowers. She also volunteered for the Hope Foundation for many years. Carol loved all animals but especially her dogs. She was a master gardener. Her rose garden was beautiful and everywhere you looked around her home there was color from all the flowers. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed painting and drawing the beautiful Arkansas landscape. Carol attended the Methodist Church in Marshall and was a member of the lady's bible study.

Survivors include her daughter, Jackie Dobrenz (Larry) of Wright, Wyoming; stepsons, John Baker (Tammy) of Erda, Utah, Patrick Baker (Michelle) of Tooele, Utah and Scott Baker of Stockton, California; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Wayne "Jack" Baker; and one brother, Patrick Reid.
