Irene Dolores Carpoff, 94 of Russellville, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at her home with her loved ones by her side.
She was born April 17, 1926 in San Francisco, California to her parents, Patrick Emmett Hughes and Emielie (Urban) Hughes. She worked as a legal secretary for the Orrick Harrington Law Firm in San Francisco and was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Russellville. Irene was a very giving person who enjoyed life and giving back to others. She volunteered at the St. Mary's Regional Medical Center Auxiliary in Russellville, performed prison ministry at San Quentin, helped take care of AIDS patients in Nevada and was also a member of the Red Hat Ladies in Russellville. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading science fiction novels, watching soap operas and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Emielie (Urban) Hughes; her husband of 30 years, Paul Martin Carpoff; one son, Paul Martin Carpoff, Jr.; one daughter, Marianne Lima; two grandsons, Richard R. Renfandt and Jason Toomey; one brother, Charles Hughes; three sisters, Anne Stevens, Ethel (Toni) Suhl and Elizabeth Dunn. Irene is survived by her three sons, Aaron B. Carpoff and wife, Marsha of Knightsen, California, Kenneth W. Carpoff and wife, Jan of Concord, California and Martin P. Carpoff of Elk Grove, California; three daughters, Genevieve Richards Riley and husband, Chester of Russellville, Arkansas, Paula E. Carpoff of Petaluma, California and Carol J. Lang and husband, Jeremy of Petaluma, California; twenty-five grandchildren; thirty-three great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; other family members and friends.

A Private Family Rosary will be held Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Roller-Cox Funeral Chapel in Clarksville.

A Memorial Mass and burial will be held at a later date in California.
