Irene Cecilia Mull

of Perryville, AR

April 21, 1930 - December 3, 2020

Irene Cecilia Mull, age 90, passed away December 3rd, 2020 in Little Rock, AR. She was born April 21, 1930 in Shelbyville, MO to Joe and Bernadine Latchford. She was raised on a farm with her brothers Leo and Leon, whom she adored.

Irene married the love of her life, Max Mull, and had an incredible marriage with him for over 61 years. Together with Max she worked on a farm, owned and operated a book binding business and a map company, and raised a beautiful family of two daughters, Laticia (Jim) Dittrich and Lavena Sipes, late son-in-law, Tracy Sipes, and grandchildren Cameron (Julie) Sipes, Courtney Sipes, Addison (Johanna) Dittrich, Taylor Dittrich and Chelsea (Joaquin Manchego) Dittrich, and many nieces and nephews from the Latchford and Mull families of Missouri. She especially enjoyed making memories with her family at the Mull Brothers' Lake.

A cornerstone of Irene's life was her lifelong passion for art. She created thousands of pieces of art across many mediums, but perfected her painting skills in oil on canvas depicting animals in the wild, Native American scenes, landscapes, and farm life. When she wasn't painting, cheering on her favorite sports teams, or spending time with family, Irene loved to read; if you patroned the Perry County Library, you certainly knew of Irene and saw her artwork frequently on display alongside the library bookshelves. Irene was a source of love, creativity and great country cooking for all who knew her.
