Benita Cresence Siebenmorgen

of Morrison Bluff, AR

January 27, 1934 - November 23, 2020

Benita Wewers Siebenmorgen, 86, departed this life and came into the presence of the Lord on November 23rd, 2020. She was born to Willie and Stephanie (Seiter) Wewers. She and Anthony, her husband to be, lived down the road from each other in Morrison Bluff, Ark and were married on May 1st, 1956. Together they operated a dairy farm, which later included row crops and beef cattle. Benita was also a cook in the Scranton Public Schools for many years. They raised eight children together. Benita was a devoted and kind daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.

Benita was also an accomplished gardener, cook, seamstress, and baker. Her grandchildren always knew they could find a pan of cinnamon rolls and cookies in the cookie jar for when they visited her house. Her homemade pies and bread were enjoyed by all those she fed over the years, and her chocolate chiffon cake was always requested on birthdays and special events. Benita was an expert at crocheting and knitting, and she created a blanket for each of her children and grandchildren that are now beautiful keepsakes. She was a hard worker, never failing to complete any task set before her, and often sang hymns as she set about completing her chores.

She was a daily Communicant at Mass, and a rosary was never far from her hands. She was an exemplary role model of prayer and faith in God. With Christ as her guide, her life was one of self-sacrificing love and care.

Benita was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Anthony, daughter Diane Auchterlonie, son Terry Siebenmorgen, grandson Matthew Siebenmorgen, sister Sr. Mary Ruth Wewers, and brother Harold Lee Wewers.

Left to cherish her memory are her children - Michael (Susana) Siebenmorgen and Kenneth (Sharon) Siebenmorgen of Ft. Smith, Ark; Dennis (Pam) Siebenmorgen and David (Paula) Siebenmorgen of Morrison Bluff, Ark; Doris (Greg) Williams and Ramona (Doug) Deen of Conway, Ark; daughter-in-law Patty Siebenmorgen (Terry) and son-in-law Steve Auchterlonie (Elizabeth) of Fayetteville, Ark.

She will also be remembered by her siblings - Sr. Adrian Wewers, Mary Edelhuber, Wilma Ahlert, Sarah Wewers, Joe Wewers, Patricia Reid, and Debbie Bentley.

Benita will also hold a special place in the memory of her grandchildren - Justin (Candace) Siebenmorgen, Ryan (Abbey) Siebenmorgen, Christie (Jonathan) O'Reilly, Brad (Molly) Auchterlonie, Tony Siebenmorgen, Alex Siebenmorgen, Caitlin (John) Jolly, Hannah Williams, Elise Williams, Jenna Siebenmorgen, Jill Siebenmorgen, Jacob Siebenmorgen, Elizabeth (Dennis) Young, Chris (Hannah) Siebenmorgen, Eric Siebenmorgen, Sara (Jim) Thompson, Evan (Jennie) Siebenmorgen, Mary (Andrew) Komp, Anna Siebenmorgen, Luke Siebenmorgen, Hayden Deen, Connor Deen, and Jonathan Deen. Her legacy also includes 14 great-grandchildren, with three more arriving soon.

A rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, November 28th, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Morrison Bluff, Ark. Seating in the church for the rosary and funeral Mass is limited to immediate family only. If visitors would like to pay respects before then, the church will be open from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. (Due to COVID, family will not be present at this time). Seating in the church for the rosary and funeral Mass is limited to immediate family only. The funeral Mass will be projected in the parish hall, where occupancy will also be limited. If occupancy is met in both the hall and church or if you'd rather pay respects in an open-air environment, please join the family for the burial following the Mass. The family also asks all attendees to wear masks and socially distance. Trusting in the power of prayer and the communion of the Church, the family asks those who need to stay home for health reasons to please say a rosary or offer a prayer.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Subiaco Abbey, Saint Scholastica Monastery in Fort Smith, or the charity of your choice. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the employees of Methodist Village Memory Care Facility in Fort Smith for their dedicated care and love of their mother.
