Elizabeth Walker Rather, age 98, of Little Rock and formerly of Hot Springs and Union City, TN, died November 19, 2020. She was born on September 7, 1922, in Dallas, TX to Nannie Dudley Barrow and Douglas and Bonita Walker. She was preceded in death by her husband (1994) of 56 years, Walter L. Rather of Hot Springs, a son, W. Douglas Rather (2014) of Rogers, an infant son, Walter D. Rather and brothers, Louis J. and Dudley F. Nicolosi of Plaquemine, LA.

She is survived by her son, John D. Rather (Rebecca) of Little Rock; daughter-n-law, Shirley Rather of Rogers; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Elizabeth managed the gift shops at Quachita Hospital and National Park Hospital Auxiliaries in Hot Springs for many years and was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.

The family would like to thank all the wonderful caregivers at Good Shepherd Nursing Home and Michelle Diane Cole. Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Nursing and Rehab Center, 3001 Aldersgate Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205 or to the church or charity of your choice.

Elizabeth will be buried in a private family graveside service at a later date.
