Albert Darrell Gann Sr.

Albert Darrell Gann Sr. age 72 of Proctor, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2020. Albert was born December 18, 1947 in Harrisburg, Arkansas to parents Joseph F. and Edith M. Gann.

When Albert was 18 years of age, he happened across a young lady at church one day in Harrisburg. Her name was Georgia Platt. He vowed that day to marry her and he did. In 1966 Georgia became his bride and for the next 54 years the two were able to raise and nourish their own family until God called him home. The two have been long time members of the Midway Baptist Church in Proctor where they live. Albert began working on his parent's farm as a young boy but became a machine operator at the Willamette Container Company in West Memphis, Arkansas for over 38 years until his retirement. He was the best husband, father and friend anyone could ever hope to have. He was always willing to help others in need as he touched many lives.

Albert is survived by his wife, Georgia Gann along with his two children; his son Albert D. Gann Jr. and his daughter Tereasa D. Bolt (Timothy) both of which are from Proctor, Arkansas. He leaves two brothers; Wayne Gann (Sally) of Clark, Missouri and Calvin Gann (Carrie) of Conway, Arkansas as well as his sisters; Caroline Gann (George) of Hoxie, Arkansas, Frankie Louise Upton of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Brenda Sipa of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Wanda Biggers (Alvin) of Angleton, Texas. He leaves his niece, Charlene Kelley (Gary) of Marion, Arkansas, a nephew, Lonnie R. Hampton of Lee County, Arkansas and his sister in law, Sylvia Hampton (Charles) of Proctor, Arkansas. He will be deeply missed by three grandchildren, Mark D. Gann, Allen D. Gann and Dakota L. York along with two great grandchildren, Kimberly and Zoei York.

Albert is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers; Johnny and Eugene Gann.

A limited attendance visitation will be held at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, 201 N Pine Street, West Memphis, Arkansas, on Friday, November 13, 2020, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Services and Interment will be private.

Roller-Citizens Funeral Home will be following guidelines issued by the Arkansas Department of Health and the CDC regarding COVID-19. Social distancing of at least six feet must be practiced and all funeral attendees must provide and wear their own masks.
