John Albert Crawford, age 81 of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this life on Thursday, October 29th, 2020 at his home. He was born in Morganton, Arkansas on January 3rd, 1939 to the late John Wesley Crawford and Nora Atheline Payne Crawford.

John was a member of the Grandview Church of Christ. On May 12th, 1960 he married the love of his life, Mary Jean Spradlin. They raised two daughters, Amy and Mary Ann. John loved to work up a good trade, work a good team of mules and listen to a good hunting dog on the trail of wild game. He was a carpenter, a drywall hanger, a farmer, a hunter and a breeder of dogs. His home was always open and the coffee pot going for anyone who wanted to drop by for a visit. He loved spending time with friends and family and spinning a tall tale from time to time. John enjoyed good food. But even more he enjoyed cooking and watching others enjoy his meals. His food, his stories, his creativity and his love will be greatly missed.

John is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Jean; and siblings, Hulen, Roy, Melvin, Lorene, Evaline and Imogene.

Survivors include his daughters, Amy Lynne Henry and Mary Ann Powers; granddaughters, Amanda, Sarah, Emily and Molly; great-grandchildren, Logan, Jaycee, Owen, Sophia, Lily, Kynzee, Maggie, Jackson and Tucker; and siblings, Betty Rorie and Lois Rose.

Funeral services for John will be 2:00 PM Sunday, November 1st, 2020 at Harriet Assembly of God Church in Harriet, Arkansas with Bro. Donnie Horton and Bro. Dale James officiating. Special music will be performed by the Harriet Assembly of God singers. Visitation will be 1:00 till 2:00 PM preceding the service. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery near Marshall, Arkansas where John will be laid to rest beside his wife, Mary Jean Spradlin Crawford who passed away in 1998. Pallbearers will be John Cope, John Allen, Mason Rosson, Ed Akin, James Crawford and Brady Rorie. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Crawford, T.J. Tackett and Mitchal Rowe.

Roller-Coffman Funeral Home is complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines for COVID-19 and limiting indoor funeral and visitation attendance to 50 people at one time including church services.
