On the morning of October 26, 2020, Cecil Alvin Adams of Conway, died at age 82, after a long illness. Cecil was born to Jason and Lucille Adams in 1938 near Truman, Arkansas. He grew up assisting his father in the family car business in Conway. After high school, he served in the National Guard for nine years.

He was also a Mason, rising to the 32nd degree level. Cecil raised and rode horses. He enjoyed watching rodeos and loved old movies, especially westerns. He could recite all kinds of movie trivia about Hollywood stars and enjoyed sharing his knowledge and talking of the old days. He would have made a good cowboy.

In 1978, he married Jeanette Dickson Adams and they raised her three daughters, Sherri Adams Proctor, Donna Thompson and Jammie Bonds. When his wife died, Cecil went to live with and take care of his mother. He was a quiet man, but had a dry wit and enjoyed family gatherings.

Cecil is preceded in death by his father Jason, his mother Lucille, sister Barbara and nephew Jason Adams of Little Rock. He is survived by his brother, Doyle Adams, of Little Rock, his brother-in-law Bob Steeps of Springdale, nephews Eric Adams of Farmington and Bobby Steeps of Bentonville, and nine grand-nieces and nephews: Eleanor, Andrew, Oliver, Isabelle Adams in Farmington; Ian and Miles Adams in Little Rock, Piper, Peyton and Parker Steeps in Bentonville; and by his three stepdaughters. He will be greatly missed by all.

A public memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 29 at gravesite in the Crestlawn Cemetery, 472 US-64 in Conway. The service will start at 2 pm.
