Orvil Thomas ''Tom'' Dixson, age 83, of Mabelvale, AR, passed away September 23, 2020 and is now with his Lord. He was born on September 25, 1936, in Lunsford, AR to Marvin and Tennie Dixson.

He was preceded in death by his Cherokee grandparents, his parents, brother, Marvin Dixson Jr., and sister Dorothy Lammers.

Tom is survived by his wife of 63 years, Helen Dixson of Mabelvale; two children, James Dixson of Mabelvale and Mark Dixson of Benton; two grandchildren, Rachael Harrison and Jessica Dixson, two great grandchildren, David and Alaina Harrison, as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.

Tom was a wonderful husband and father and served our country as a public servant and retired from the US Army Corps of Engineers after over 30 years of service. Tom was dedicated to Christ and was a deacon in Life Line Baptist Church for about five decades. He loved Jesus, his family, and friends, and he was always reaching out to tell people about Jesus and helped people in any way he could. He loved to travel and worked with Campers on Mission. He enjoyed genealogy and traveled all over the U.S. and Europe.

A graveside celebration of his life will be at 12:00 P.M., September 29th at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander, AR. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, social distancing should be practiced, and face coverings should be worn when in attendance.
