Donald Wayne Adams, 73, of Big Flat, Arkansas passed away at his home on Friday, September 18, 2020. Donald was born on March 31, 1947 in Harrisburg, Arkansas to the late Carl and Lela (Sullins) Adams. Donald was a 1965 graduate of Trumann High School in Trumann, Arkansas. He was a veteran in the United States Army and did two tours in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. Donald was employed and retired from the Manatee County Florida Building Department after many years of dedicated service. Donald had many hobbies and interest including flying his airplane, hiking, metal detecting, and exploring the caves in Arkansas. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be terribly missed by all of his loving family and friends.
Donald is survived by his son, Shannon Adams of Bradenton, Florida; daughter, Tiffani Rudd and husband Tim of Ashland, Nebraska; Shannon and Tiffani's mother, Donna Hammer; one brother, Carthel Adams and wife Fran of Ash Flat, Arkansas; two sisters, Carolyn Davis and husband David of Leander, Texas and Sherri Smith and husband John of Bellefontaine, Ohio; five grandchildren, Tyler, Ryan, and Kylee Adams and Rorri and Brody Rudd; two great-grandchildren, Auhlyus and Amorie and one great-grandchild, Ky'Lani on the way; along with many extended family and friends.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Lela (Sullins) Adams; one brother, James Adams and one sister, Linda Kay Anderson.
At Donald's request there will be no services.
