Charles Windell Pack passes away peacefully on September 3, 2020. He was born on October 12, 1932 to the late William Pack and Edna Scott.

Charles was a Korean War Veteran who fought at the Battle of Chosin Reservoir. He was among the legendary heroes history has named, ''The Frozen Chosen''. He was decorated with the Korean Service Medal with five stars, The National Defense Service Medal, and United Nations Medal. After his service, Charles worked for Allen Osborne Associates as an electronic engineer, where he participated in the design of the first GPS receiver. He then worked for another ten years with ITT. He left his thumbprint not only on the world, but on the hearts of his friends and family who will miss him dearly.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Patrick A. Capps Sr., Charles W. Kissire, Lisa Ayers, and his adopted daughter, Denise Capps. His companion and sweetheart of twelve years, Flor D. Devoe, will also miss him greatly. Charles gave us a hearty host of ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1:30pm Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Fayetteville National Cemetery in Fayetteville, AR.
