Allen Gene Massey

Allen Gene Massey, Sr., 88, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away on August 26, 2020 at White River Medical Center in Batesville, Arkansas. Allen was born on February 8, 1932 in Winnfield, Louisiana to the late Samuel and Callie (Cockerham) Massey. Allen was a United States Air Force veteran and proudly served his country. He was a member of Arbanna Baptist Church and was a working leaderman for 38 years at Riley Beard and worked as a welder fitter foreman for over 20 years. Allen was a wonderful son, husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be greatly missed by all of his loving family and friends.
Allen was survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Lettie (Dawson) Massey; daughter, Ethel Aline Dixon and husband, John along with their children Carly and Josh and Carly's children, John and Jeremiah; son, Allen Gene Massey, Jr. his children, Sherry and Ashley (Joey) and Sherry's children, Morgan and Wilson, and Ashley and Joey's children, Morgan and River; son, John David Massey and wife Ginger and their children, Kelley and husband Brandon and John and Kelley's daughter, Emma; daughter, Teresa Carol Smith and husband Bobby and their son, Christopher Allen Smith; along with many extended family and friends.
Allen was preceded in death by his parents Samuel Coleman and Callie (Cockerham) Massey; brother, James Massey, and sister-in-law, Janice Massey.
Visitation is Saturday, August 29, 2020, 9:00-11:00 AM at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services will follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 AM with Brothers Jim Chandler and Glen Swafford officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service at East Richwoods/Case Cemetery in Mountain View, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are John Massey, Jr., Caleb Ellis, Benjamin Ellis, Brandon Holland, Littlepage Sims, and Laddie Sims II.
