Harvey Edward Thomas, 87, of Jonesboro, passed away, Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at his home.
He was born August 20, 1933 in Jonesboro, to Jess Raymond and Maude Hazel (Nelson) Thomas. Harvey was a member of Roger's Chapel Community Church, He worked for Frolic Footwear for 21 years and Lincoln Tool & Die for 25 years before retiring. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, working on cars, spending time with family, reading his bible, and fixing anything broken.

Preceded in death by his parents; 2 sons, Gary Edward and Timothy Alan Thomas; brothers, John Raymond and Carol Altman Thomas; sister Jessie Jean Smith Goforth.

Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years, Mary Joyce (Newcom) Thomas; daughters, Theresa Adamson and Debbie Smith; grandchildren, Ronny Adamson, James Griffin, Christy Spearman, Rhonda Lindsey, Stephanie Carpenter, Shelby Griffin, Sean Thomas, Alan Thomas and Kevin Thomas; eighteen great grandchildren and 12 great great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 2:00 pm, with Dale Blackwell officiating. Burial will follow at Nettleton Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be, Jamie Brown, Ryan Adamson, Jonathan Lindsey, Alex Griffin, Kyle Griffin, and J.D, Lindsey.

Honorary pallbearers will be, Ronny Adamson, James Griffin, Shelby Griffin, Sean Thomas, Alan Thomas, Kevin Thomas,

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until time of service.


We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and limiting indoor funeral and visitation attendance while observing social distancing guidelines. All attendees must provide and wear their own masks before entering.
