Clarence C. Rhoades, of Quitman, AR, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, August 20, 2020. He was born March 19, 1937, in Mayflower, AR, to the late Lawrence and Lavada (Sellers) Rhoades.
Clarence was also preceded in death by his brothers, Elmer and James Rhoades, and his sisters, Wilma Laycook and Mildred Sue Klempert.
Clarence was a loving husband and father. He had a sweet smile and loving brown eyes. He loved to sit on the back porch, work in his garden, and keep Bettie's flowers trimmed. Clarence loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed wood working and finishing furniture. He attended First Pentecostal Church in Guy, AR.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving family; wife of 63 years, Bettie Jo (Harmon) Rhoades; daughters, Carol McLain (Hal) of Conway, AR, Belinda Penney (Mike) of Damascus, AR, Vicki Sanders (Troy) of North Little Rock, AR, and Kimberly Freeman of Conway, AR; son, Keith Rhoades (Candy) of Quitman, AR; grandchildren, April York (Leo) of Mayflower, AR, Kristy Penney of Quitman, AR, Kasey Carter (Gary) of Des Arc, AR, Josh Meadows (Jasey) of Greenbrier, AR, Bailey Hambuchen (Drew) of Conway, AR, Matthew Paul of Denton, TX, and Wesley Paul of Denton, TX; great-grandchildren, Caleb Credit of Fayetteville, AR, Abby Cooper (Drake) of Melbourne, AR, and Noah, Parker, and Doc Meadows of Greenbrier, AR; brothers, Ennis Rhoades of Jonesboro, AR, Johnny Rhoades (Cathy) of Morrilton, AR, and Weldon Rhoades of Malvern, AR, and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
