Cory David Marrs

of West Memphis, AR

December 7, 1998 - June 8, 2020

Cory David Marrs, 21, departed this earth on Monday, June 8, 2020. Cory was born December 7th, 1998 in West Memphis, Arkansas to Darden Hughes and Timothy Marrs. A graduate of WMHS and MSCC, he was a lifelong resident of West Memphis.

Whether you knew Cory well or not, he always left you with a smile and a laugh. Cory's sensitivity, kindness, empathy, and ability to not judge anyone made him a prince amongst men.

Cory's love for others and for them to feel like their best self-manifested in a passion for fashion. Many friends sought out his advice on what to wear, which designers were currently trending, or even how to increase their confidence in their appearance.

Cory's gorgeous red hair was his signature trademark. Being the only child of ten cousins with red hair, Cory wore his with great pride, feeling he was given such to represent love, passion, and the mark of a rose when he was born.

Cory gave so much to everyone he came in contact with. To know Cory, was to know a selfless love. We are all lucky to have shared this life with him. His creativity, passion for life, and signature red hair will be missed dearly. The angels are rejoicing in Heaven to have our Cory join them.

Cory is survived by his mother, Darden, and father, Timothy; his brothers, William Cody Marrs and Benjamin Casey Grigsby; his maternal grandparents, Heber B. " Buddy" Hughes of Hughes, Arkansas, and Joy Harrison of Forrest City, Arkansas; his paternal grandparents J.D. and Claudia Marrs of Palestine, Arkansas; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. All of whom love and miss him dearly.

A limited attendance visitation celebrating the life of Cory will be held at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, 201 N Pine Street, West Memphis, Arkansas, on Thursday, June 18, 2020, 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
