Doyle Ray Weaver, age 94 of Witts Springs, Arkansas passed from this life on Sunday, June 7th, 2020 at his home with family by his side. He was born in Snowball, Arkansas on November 17th, 1925 to James Sparling Weaver and Dessie Bell Longcrier Weaver.

Doyle was a World War II Veteran of the United States Navy and served during the Pacific Theater. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Marshall for many years where he sang bass in the choir. He was currently a member of and attended the Witts Springs Community Bible Church where he also sang in the choir. Doyle was also a longtime member of the local VFW and The Cattleman's Association. As a youth Doyle loved to go squirrel hunting with his dog, Bounce. This pastime carried over into his adulthood and included hunting and fishing. He worked as a farmer and rancher for most of his life. He also worked for 27 years as a bus mechanic and bus driver for the Witts Springs School District until his retirement. Doyle was an avid story teller and enjoyed telling stories of his childhood on Owens Mountain and the surrounding areas. He was a big fan of sports; baseball, basketball and football and was very knowledgeable about the players. Doyle loved music, mainly gospel, bluegrass and country. He knew about 200 songs from the WWII era. When feeding his cows, Doyle always had his truck door open with his radio on. He and Sandra loved to travel to the Navy Reunion held in various states every year. Doyle loved to visit and reminisce with his fellow Navy comrades. In his later years he liked to spend his time reading the Marshall Mountain Wave every time it was published. His presence and wisdom will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Watts Weaver of the home; his sons, Donald Gene Weaver of Marshall, Dennis Ray Weaver of Dardanelle and Bobby Dale Weaver (Kathy), also of Dardanelle; step-sons, Bernard Cranford (Amy) of Brodnax, Virginia and Timothy Cranford (Denise) of Alton, Illinois; grandchildren, Bradley Weaver of Harrison, Harris Weaver of Marshall, D.J. Weaver (Amber) of Harrison, Patricia English (Tommy) of Dardanelle, Lindsay Weaver of Mountain Home, Sara Tailounie (Mo) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Jeremy Weaver of Russellville, Chrissy McEntire (Stewart) of Maumelle and Halley Hughes (William) of Dardanelle; step-grandchildren, John Cranford, James Wilkey and Jennifer Wilkey; eighteen great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Imogene Taylor; and many other family and friends who will mourn his passing.
Doyle was preceded in death by his parents, Sparling and Dessie Weaver; his first wife, Pauline Clark Weaver; and three siblings, Thomas Rex Weaver, Keith Dale Weaver and Janis Evelyn Page.

Funeral services for Doyle will be 2:00 PM Thursday, June 11th, 2020 at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Jim Arnold Jr. officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 till 8:00 PM Wednesday, June 10th, 2020 in the Chapel. Pallbearers will be Bradley Weaver, Harris Weaver, D.J. Weaver, Jeremy Weaver, John Cranford, Kyle English, Landon Weaver and Maxwell Weaver. Honorary pallbearers will be Doyle's nephews and great grandson's, Gage Weaver and Brady McEntire. Burial will be at Witts Springs Cemetery.
Roller-Coffman Funeral Home is complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines for COVID-19 and limiting indoor funeral and visitation attendance to 50 people at one time. We are practicing social distancing and have limited seating. All attendees must provide and wear their own masks before entering.
