Arlis Green, age 86 of Big Flat, Arkansas passed from this life on Friday, January 17th, 2020 at The Waters of Mountain View in Mountain View, Arkansas. He was born in Fifty-Six, Arkansas on January 5th, 1934 to Erman Green and Clora Southard Green.

Arlis attended the Big Flat Assembly of God Church. He owned a heading mill in Kansas for many years where he made staves for whiskey barrels. After moving back to Arkansas he worked in the timber industry and was a farmer. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and playing softball which he continued to do until his 80's. Arlis loved all children, whether his own or someone else's. His greatest joy came from spending time and playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His family meant the world to him and they will greatly miss his strong presence in their lives.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Rosie Lea Balentine Green of Big Flat; his children, Rick Green (Jayne) of Little Rock, Mark Green of Big Flat and Karen Martin (Marty), also of Big Flat; grandchildren, Courtney Wilkins (Billy Joe) of Lutherville, Kyle Green (Kaci) of Clarksville, Cody Green (Lindsay) of Prairie Grove, Corey Green (Ashley) of Dacula, GA, Brittany Clark (Tyler) of Harrison and Baylea Martin (Spencer) of Bergman; great-grandchildren, Josie, Abby, Mayci, Jaylea, Kinley, Karsyn, Kamron, Ty, Marlea and Copeland;
sisters, Mary Eagle of St. Louis, MO, Pearl Kelley of High Ridge, MO, Anita Chalk of White Pigeon, MI and Ermadean Price of Mountain View; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Hale Mitchell (Bonnie) of Mountain View; and many other family and friends who will mourn his passing.

Arlis is preceded in death by his parents, Erman and Clora Green; his siblings, Henry Green, Beatrice Diffey, Lucky Green, Delmar Green, Lou Long, Ulis Green and Jean Barham.

Funeral services for Arlis will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 22nd, 2020 at Big Flat Assembly of God Church with Bro. Darin Holliman officiating. Special music will be performed by Sonja Wilson and Kayla Holliman. Burial will be in Big Flat Cemetery. Bearers will be Kyle Green, Cody Green, Corey Green, Billy Joe Wilkins, Tyler Clark, Spencer Woods and Marty Martin.
