Elvin William Arnold, 86, formerly of Guion passed away on Monday, October 7, 2019.

He was born on November 3, 1932 in Guion, Arkansas to Clinton H. Arnold and Alta (Adkisson) Arnold.

Elvin grew up on a farm and could fix anything. He was a US Army veteran and served just after the Korean War and worked at Silica Sand for over 35 years. He never met a stranger and loved to make people laugh. He also enjoyed to hunt, fish, trap and loved to read.

Survivors include his two daughters, Donna Sue Arnold and Susan Renee Mitchell both of Melbourne; one sister, Eithel Warren of Morrilton; two grandchildren, Ramona Arnold of Mt. Pleasant and Shonna Arnold of Jonesboro; two great-grandchildren, Lawson Arnold and Emarie Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mildred (Engles) Arnold; two sisters, Eula Mae Dale and an infant sister; and son-in-law, Joe Mitchell.

Pallbearers will be Randy Engles, Trevor Pittman, Lynn Pittman, Jerry Frazier, Don Engles, and Rubin Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Raymond Arnold, Kenneth Frazier, Danny Condrey and Lawson Arnold.

Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm Saturday, October 12, 2019 at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Melbourne with Bro. Gene Baird officiating. Burial will follow at Pratt Cemetery in Lunenburg.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Saturday prior to service at the funeral home.
