James F. McPherson, 76, of Cushman passed away Thursday, October 3, 2019.

He was born on December 12, 1942 in Magness, Arkansas to James and Lorene (McDoniel) McPherson.

James graduated in 1960 from Jeffersonville High School in Jeffersonville, Indiana; he was a tool and die machinist and owned and operated his own shop. He was a member of Central Avenue Methodist Church in Batesville.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Linda (Benton) McPherson of the home; one son, Patrick McPherson (Lynora) of Cushman; two brothers, Billy McPherson (Vicki) of Conway and Jackie McPherson (Vicki) of Heber Springs; two sisters, Carol Padgett (Wayne) of Little Rock and Teresa McPherson of Hot Springs; seven grandchildren, Keith, Amanda, Fallon, Tandra and Kennedy McPherson and Christin and Mackenzie Holt; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sons, Mark and Michael McPherson.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Ron Bates and Dr. David Warner.

Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 pm Monday, October 7, 2019 at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville with Carl Blankenship officiating.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm Monday prior to service at the funeral home.
