Lateka Elwanda Ledford Atchison Smith, 95, passed peacefully from this life Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Craighead Nursing Center in Jonesboro.

Lateka was born on August 17, 1923 in Mountain View, Arkansas and was raised and spent most of her life in Mountain View. She was of the Baptist belief and would have been 96 years old on her birthday. She loved quilting, canning, bingo and gardening and will be deeply missed by her loving friends and family.

In addition to her parents, Crit and Lou Ledford, she was preceded in death by one sister; five brothers and two of her seven children.

Survivors include five children; her precious 14 grandchildren and many great- grandchildren.

Her graveside service will be at 10 am, Saturday, August 17 at 10 am at the Herpel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 8457 Herpel Road, Mountain View, Ar.

Active pallbearers are Ken Atchison, Michael Jordan, James Loftis, Jake Stubbs, Josh Stubbs and Phillip Webb.

Honorary pallbearers are Chad Atchison, Shane Atchison, Charlie Jordan, Steven Jordan, Jeremy Treece, Christopher Webb, Kim Leonard, Amber Treece, Shirley Lancaster, Melinda Webb.
