Burlean Jametta (Jenkins) Blackwell, 86, of Mountain View, Arkansas went to be with her Lord on April 26, 2019 at her home. Burlean was born on January 1, 1933 in Sugar Hill, Arkansas to her late father who passed away before she was born, Burrell Grant Jenkins; mother Vera (Cagle) Jenkins Barnes and Daddy Fount Barnes. Burlean graduated the 8th grade from West Richwood School and later received her GED at the age of 47. She worked many years as a nurse's assistant, homemaker, and beloved Granny. Burlean loved to be outside, tending her beautiful flowers and garden with loving attention and care. She was a member of Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church and will be greatly missed by all of her loving family and friends.

Burlean is survived by two sons, Rex Blackwell and wife Martha and Steve Blackwell and wife Susie; one sister, Linda Moody; ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; along with many extended family and friends.

Burlean was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Willie Blackwell; mother and father; one son, Jerry Wayne Blackwell; six brothers, Paul Jenkins, Raymond Jenkins, Burrien Barnes, Otis Barnes, Kermit Barnes, and Rubin Barnes; two sisters, Elsidean Green, and Evelyn Thornsberry.

Visitation is Sunday, April 28, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Roller Coffman Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services are Monday, April 29, 2019, 10:00 AM at Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church in Mountain View, Arkansas with her family officiating. Interment will follow the service at Sugar Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Roper Blackwell, Zach Neal, Nick Boswell, Arthur Harlow, Brenden McDonald, and Patrick Lynch. Honorary pallbearers are Kenny Blackwell, Charlie Blackwell, Bobby Jean Taylor, Ricky Barnes, Lawson Barnes, and Chuck Hastings.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Sugar Hill Cemetery Fund at Centennial Bank, PO Box 1228, Mountain View, Arkansas 72560.
