Billy Joe McMullin, 79, a resident of Paris, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2017, in Fort Smith.

He was born February 12, 1938, in Tyronza, Arkansas to the late Isaac and Lela Lucille (Leigh) McMullin. Billy married Judy (Shirley) McMullin on May 25, 1962 in Paris. He was a 1964 graduate of the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering. After graduating, Billy spent his career as a civil engineer working on locks and dams in Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi for the United States Army Corps of Engineers.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Glenn McMullin and a sister, Juanita Germany.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Judy McMullin of Paris; a son, William A. McMullin of Clinton, Mississippi; a daughter, Pamela McMullin of Paris, Arkansas; a granddaughter, Erin Fitz; a great grandson, Elliott Fitz; two brothers, Larry McMullin of Trumann, Arkansas and Isaac McMullin, Jr. of Amory, Mississippi and three sisters, Virginia Johnson of Haughton, Louisiana, Kathy Condra of Trumann, Arkansas and Jane Brown of Dunnellon, Florida.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 23, 2017, at the Roller Funeral Home in Paris, Arkansas.

Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m., Saturday at Oakwood Cemetery in Paris, Arkansas. Burial will follow under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
