David Lawrence Mincks, 79, of Pettigrew, AR, went to be with the Lord Saturday, December 2, 2017. He was born October 06, 1938, in Portland, OR to the late George Allen and Naomi Hazel Viola (Wilson) Mincks. David was also preceded in death by his Sister, Fonda Mae Schmidt, He is survived by his brothers, Robert Mincks and Clarence Mincks both of Eureka, CA, and Irwyn Mincks (Rosie) of Grants Pass, OR, and sister, Carrol Baker (Chuck) of Medford, OR.

David loved the peace of the forest and watching nature, except for the time he had a run in with a mother bear and made the local news. He was known as Bear Man around Northwest Arkansas, as well as Mountain Man because he lived in nature and loved being surrounded by God's Creation.

Left to cherish his memory is his family, children, son, Kelly Mincks of Colorado Springs, CO, and daughters, Kerry Raiford (Gary) Colorado Springs, CO, Sarah Maxwell (Jerry) of Greenbrier, AR, Joanna Wallace (Steve) of Conway, AR, Donna Mincks of Harrison, AR, and Naomi Leach of Klamath Falls, OR; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private memorial will be set at a later date where his cremains will be scattered back in to the wild.
