Rachel Louise (Smith) Nichols, 82, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas died Saturday, November 18, 2017, at White River Medical Center in Batesville, Arkansas.

Born August 28, 1935, in Coal Hill, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Jack Eugene Smith and Gladys (Frasier) Smith.

She is survived by three sons, Keith Nichols of Columbus, Mississippi, Dennis Nichols and Bill Nichols, both of Horseshoe Bend; and a brother, John Smith of Batesville.

Rachel was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill C. Nichols; and six children, Eddie Nichols, Penny White, Susan Nichols, John Nichols, David Nichols and Gary Nichols; brother, Buddy Smith; and sister, Bobbie Hanson.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are by Roller-Crouch McGee Funeral Home of Cave City.
