Kristi L. Weldon, 52, surrounded by her loving family, passed away after two and a half years battling with cancer. A young life with a spirit overflowing with energy, never meeting a stranger with her infectious personality and winning smile, was taken too early Saturday, September 2, 2017. Born in Blytheville, Arkansas, she lived in Memphis, Tennessee, and was currently a resident of Nashville, Tennessee. She was a graduate of Briarcrest high School, attended Arkansas State University and further earned a degree as a dental assistant. She worked for NCA in Nashville. While in Memphis she taught Taekwondo for thirteen years at the Germantown Athletic Club and especially enjoyed working with the 5 year old and under, called the ''Little Tigers''. She held a 4th Degree Black Belt with the American Taekwondo Association and was a Certified Instructor, an International Judge, Regional Tournament Data Secretary, a Tennessee State Champ in forms, sparring and weapons. She was predeceased in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents. She leaves a loving family missing her so much. Father: Jerry W. Weldon, Sr., step mother: Donna Weldon, of Osceola, AR; half-brother: Jerry W. (Sheryl) Weldon, Jr, of Virginia; half-sister: Brandy Weldon (Chris) Walker of Osceola AR; brother: Gavin Weldon of Memphis; Mother: Peggy Sweet Larkin of Memphis, TN; she leaves her ''Sissy'' Kelly Schade; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncle and cousins; her devoted, much loved forever best friend and caregiver: Linda K. Workman of Nashville, TN; and a host of loving friends. The family would like to thank the many friends for their outpouring of love and support during her battle with cancer. We would also like to thank Ansley and Shannon of the Avalon Hospice of Nashville and Rebecca and Heather of the Avalon Hospice of Memphis. Many thanks to so many, at Tennessee Oncology and Sarah Cannon Hospital in Nashville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the donor's choice.
