Eugene Tilley, age 87 of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this life on earth to his heavenly home on Monday, July 3rd, 2017. He was born in Big Flat, Arkansas on August 21st, 1929 to Donnie Tilley and Blanche Balentine Tilley.

Eugene married the love of his life, Nellie Marshall in August of 1950. To this union six children were born, Sammy Don, Marcia, Danny Earl, Stanley, Terry Gene and Greg. Eugene spent most of his life working in the log woods and helping his sons work in the sheet rock business. He enjoyed going down to Big Creek and Fishing. After he retired you could always find him sitting on the front porch which he enjoyed a lot. Eugene was a loving husband, father, papa, brother and friend to all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nellie, son, Sammy Don; one brother; two sisters; and one great grandchild. Survivors include four sons, Danny Earl (Kathy) Tilley of Onia, Stanley Tilley of Marshall, Terry Gene (Susie) Tilley of Mountain View and Greg (Jeanne) Tilley of Marshall; one daughter, Marcia (Doug) McDonald of Clinton; brother, Hershell (Ilene) Tilley of Fifty Six; sisters, Bobbie Spiess and Billie Jo Birch; seventeen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends who will miss him.

Funeral services for Eugene will be Thursday, July 6th, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Roller-Coffman Chapel with Bro. Allen Brock and Bro. Dwayne Ragland officiating. Visitation will be at 9:00 AM preceding the service. Burial will be in Red Hill Cemetery. Eugene's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
