Donald "Pop" Gene Greer

Donald ''Pop'' Gene Greer, 86, of Jonesboro, passed away Monday, November 28, 2016, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born June 25, 1930 in Malden, MO., to Ernie and Fannie Greer. Mr. Greer was the former owner of City Sheet Metal, served in the U.S. Army and loved fishing and watching T.V.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Bernice (Bobbie) Birmingham Greer; son, Donnie Greer; brothers, Ernie Lee Greer, Jr. and Paul Greer; and sister, Sue Collier.
Survivors include, son, Clay Greer; daughters, Donna Ginn and Pamela Drennon; grandchildren, Lana Greer, Jacob Findley, Sarah Drennon, Stephen Drennon and Samantha Tucker; eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry(Bucky) Greer; and sisters, Bessie Sharp, Kay Cropper and JoeAnn Holder.
A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home on Thursday, December the 8th at 1 p.m. with visitation beginning at 12:30.
