Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Harriett Ann Martin passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 86. She was born January 13, 1930 in Bedford, Indiana, the daughter of Quincy and Mildred (Newkirk) Thomas.
Harriett married Delbert Andrew Martin on December 9, 1950 in Mount Vernon, Illinois. She and Delbert moved to Salesville, Arkansas from Aurora, Illinois upon her retirement from Dial Corp in 1989.

The last five years Harriett had enjoyed the many dear friends she made at Shadow Brook in Mountain Home. She enjoyed her many evenings of card playing and potlucks. Harriett's final few months were spent in the loving home of her son Charles. Harriett loved hosting the holidays and shined her brightest welcoming all who came through her door.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband and three brothers: Jesse, James and William Thomas. Harriett is survived by nine children: Bill (Kari) Martin of Mountain Home, AR; Charles (Lauri) Martin of Midway, AR; Terry Martin of Norfork, AR; Jake (Linda) Martin of Norfork, AR; Mark Martin of Norfork, AR; David (Nina) Martin of Salesville, AR; Debra (Skip) Smidt of Phoenix, AZ; Jeff (Leanna) of Jordan, AR; Steve (Terri) of Salesville, AR. Many, many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her lifelong friend Shirley Blish of Florida.

Funeral service will be 10:00AM, Saturday July 9, 2016, at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Mountain Home with Brother Ken Burton officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Baxter Memorial Gardens in Mountain Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Harriett's honor to Hospice of the Ozarks, 701 Burnett Drive, Mountain Home, AR 72653.
