Vernon Casteel, 75, of Marianna, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016. He was born July 15, 1940 to the late Lewis Casteel and Betty Henley Casteel in LaGrange, Arkansas.

Mr. Casteel is survived by his wife, Peggy Casteel, of the home; two sons, Tim Casteel (Jana), of Austin, Arkansas; Vernon Casteel Jr., of Searcy, Arkansas; one daughter, Keisha Johnson (Fred), of Jonesboro, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two sisters, Ann Sorrells (Jackie), of Marianna, Arkansas; Betty Griffin (Johnny), of Helena, Arkansas; two brothers, Wayne Casteel (Cathy), of West Helena, Arkansas; Austin Casteel (Joyce), of Mt. Home, Arkansas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Sherry Simmons and one brother, Larry Casteel.
