Bobbie Earl Arnold, 78 of Sherwood passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2005.He was born to the late Allie A. and Florine Arnold in St. Joseph, MO..

Bobbie moved to North Little Rock, AR from St. Joseph, MO in 1943 and spent his life living and working in central Arkansas. He enlisted in the U.S. Marines Corps in 1944 and served 3 years, one of those in the South Pacific. He was recalled during the Korean conflict in 1950 and served 18 months. He was an active member of the Marine Corps Reserve in the Little Rock Unit and retired in 1977 as a Gy/Sgt after completing 30 years of service. His civilian occupation started out as a truck driver for Southwestern Transportation Co. and Superior Forwarding Co. while continuing his education at night classes at Little Rock, Junior College. He trained as an Auto Body Paint and Repairman. He retired from Aetna Life and Casualty Insurance Co. as a Senior Claims Representative.

He was a member of Victory Baptist Church and Past Master in 1999 and secretary for the past five years at Crescent Masonic Lodge #403 F&AM, a 32nd Degree KCCH Scottish Rite Mason, a member of the Scimitar Shrine Temple, Past president of the Arkansas Chapter of the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair (IICAR) had been an assistant Scout Master. A Member of Arkansas Insurance Adjusters Assn. and a Private Pilot. In later years his main hobby was building Radio Controlled Model Airplanes, and his involvement in Masonry.

Bobbie was preceded in death by his parents; one son; Larry E. Arnold, one brother; Artie Arnold.

He is survived by his wife; Barbara B. Arnold, one son; Kenneth E. Arnold, and wife Terry, two grandchildren; Andrew E. and Amilea B. Arnold.

Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 19, 2005 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel (791-7400) with Bro. Tom Hart officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park with graveside Masonic service with Bro. T. J. Henwood and Crescent Masonic Lodge #403 presiding.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Thursday, at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the staff at Baptist Health SICU For their Efforts During his 20 weeks stay in the hospital.
