Jerry "O.J." Stewart, 73, of Conway, went to be with the Lord on Friday August 1, 2014. He was born February 22, 1941 in Faulkner County, AR to the late William Lester Stewart and Ava Caroline (Stanton) Stewart. Jerry was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Jerry was a long time member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Shady Grove and a veteran of the United States Army Reserves and served during the Berlin Conflict. He retired from Roller-McNutt Funeral Home after 25 years and started his own burial service and later worked for ARKO Machine Shop. Jerry was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. He was a mentor to many young people as a baseball coach for YBMA for many years and a huge Razorback fan. Jerry was a wonderful husband, father, and grand-father and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 55 years, Martha, two sons, Terry Lynn Stewart (Paula) of Wooster, AR and Timothy Lee Stewart (Mandy) of Conway, daughter, Tammy Jo Vanaman (Doug) of Conway, grandchildren, Brittany Lee-ann Stewart, Brandon Lorien Stewart, Abbigale Elizabeth Vanaman Ott (Axel) and Tanner Logan Stewart, step-grandchildren, Monica, Gabrielle, and James Choquette, numerous nieces and nephews and his dog, Sasha.

Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Monday, August, 4, 2014 at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Shady Grove with Bro. Travis Matthews and Dr. Martin Jameson officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Royce Matthews, Ricky Matthews, Don Hicks, Allen Stewart, Tony Robinson, and Mark Clements. Doyan Matthews will be serving as honorary pallbearer. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway (501) 327-7727.
