Charles Dale "C.D." Sutterfield, age 85 of Clinton, Arkansas passed from this life on Thursday, February 06, 2014 at his home. He was born in Stone County, Arkansas on September 30, 1928 to Zed Sutterfield and Nance Iowa (Corter) Sutterfield.

C.D. worked for many years as a rock layer. He also sold rocks. He was a man who enjoyed and took pride in his work. He attended the Church of the Lost and Found in Marshall, Arkansas. C.D. loved the Lord and loved to sing Christian songs. He loved spending time with his family. C.D. was a leader not a follower.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Frona and Evalee; two brothers, Gene and Dolan; one great grandchild, Braydan Moses; daughter-in-law, Ruby Sutterfield; and nephew, Gary.

Survivors include his wife of almost 56 years, Delores (Paxton) Sutterfield of the home; four sons, Don Sutterfield and wife Shirley of Dennard, Allen Sutterfield and wife Margaret of Thola, Timmy Sutterfield of Thola and Chuck Allen Sutterfield and wife Lisa of Leslie; one daughter, Connie Sue Bufford and husband Keith of Conway; grandchildren, Matthew Sutterfield, Luke Sutterfield and wife Shae, Tessa Rea and husband Rodney, Crystal Younger and husband Kendall, Trinity Sutterfield and wife Jennifer, Amber Leach and husband Cody, Tabatha Duncan, Josh Sutterfield, Zed Sutterfield, Jasmine Moses and husband Wesley, Jessica Huddleston and husband Jeff and Scott Thomson; and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services for C.D. will be 2:00 PM Sunday, February 09, 2014 at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas with sons, Don and Allen Sutterfield officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 till 2:00 PM preceding the service. Burial will be in Passmore Cemetery in Thola.

Pallbearers will be Zed Sutterfield, Luke Sutterfield, Skylier Rea, Josh Sutterfield, Rodney Rea and Trint Sutterfield.
