Debra Renee Sumpter, age 47, of Lakeview, Arkansas passed away Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Baxter Regional Medical Center. She was born February 19, 1966 in Ironton, Missouri to Stanley Jackson and Karla Minnich.
Mrs. Sumpter married Chris Sumpter in March of 1995 in Missouri. She was baptized at the Liberty Baptist Church in Belgrade, Missouri on April 8, 2001. She enjoyed 15 years working as a realtor and most recently working at Lowes. She enjoyed being on the water, hunting, spending time with friends, was an avid collector of jewelry, DVD's and VHS tapes, but refused to buy a Blue Ray player and loved her dogs who were an extension of the family.
Mrs. Sumpter is survived by a son: Timmy Akers and wife Myra of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, her mother; Karla Minnich and husband Daniel, her father; Stanley Jackson, two sisters; Heather Scaggs and husband Chuck of Ironton, Missouri and Danielle Brown of Park Hills, Missouri and a brother; Travis Minnich of Doe Run, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her husband Chris Sumpter.
A Memorial Service will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel with Frank Daniels, Funeral Celebrant officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in Cove Cemetery near Ironton, Missouri. Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.
