Wilma "Jean" Martin, age 85, of Mobile, Alabama passed from this life on Sunday, May 05, 2013 at home. She was born in Imo, Arkansas on April 19, 1928 to David Ward and Nona (Hightower) Ward.

While born in Imo, Jean spent the majority of her married life in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She spent her employment years in the retail industry. Jean moved to Mobile, Alabama in December 2010 to be cared for by her family. Jean made the most important decision a person can make in life when in her teens she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and has now joined loving family members in His presence.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 48 years, James Fred Martin; sister, Irma Lea Wilcox; brother, Ray Ward; son-in-law, Michael Robert Blaylock; and granddaughter, Amy Elizabeth Blaylock.

Survivors include one daughter Sonja Martin Blaylock, granddaughter, Ashley (Ben) Jackson, great grandsons, Benjamin Walker Jackson and Baylor Ward Jackson, all of Mobile, Alabama; grandson, Nathan (Maggie) Blaylock, great grandson, Jax Michael Blaylock and great granddaughter, Kendall Rae Blaylock, all of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; sister Avanell (Jack) Pace of Claremore, Oklahoma; brother, Benny (Diana) Ward of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and many nieces, nephews and friends who will also mourn her passing.

Funeral services for Jean will be 12:00 PM Friday, May 10, 2013 at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Shane Horton officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 till 12:00 PM preceding the service. Burial will be in Canaan Cemetery in Marshall.

Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
