Earlene Heavener, 82, of Little Rock, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 6, 2012. She was born September 7, 1929 in Lauderdale County, Alabama, a daughter of the late Floyd and Lina Butler Nard. She was a homemaker and attended Crystal Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Earl Nard and Carroll Nard, three sisters, Dexter Malone, Agnes Geans, and June Cossey, and one grandson, Weston Paul.

She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Herschel Heavener; children Beverly Taber (Glenn) of Little Rock, Arkansas, Alan Heavener (Lee Ann) of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Diane Paul (Tim) of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Cristi Walker (D.J.), Natalie Coker, Amy Traywick, Jacob Briggs (Jenni), Landon Paul, Keaton Paul and Houston Paul; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Bonnie White of Mishawaka, Indiana; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, (501)224-8300.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 9, 2012, at Crystal Hill Baptist Church, 18823 Crystal Valley Road, Little Rock, Arkansas, with Brother Larry Ballard and Brother Tim Paul officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Alexander, Arkansas.
