Nellie Faye Songer Reece, 81, of Brookland passed away on Monday, September 12, 2011 at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was born December 10, 1929 in Greene County to Martin and Marie Metcalf. Mrs. Reece worked for Douglas Manufacturing at College City, AR. She attended Brookland Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clifford Songer; one brother; a sister and her parents.

Survivors include her husband Vernon Reece; two sons, Harvey (Debbie) Songer of Walcott and Venson (Sharron) Songer of Paragould; a daughter, Ivonne (Light) Roberts of Jonesboro; seven grandchildren, Bridgett Couch, Jennifer Andrews, Michael Songer, Christopher Songer, Trina Scrape, Brittany Moran and Zachary Moran; eleven great grandchildren; a brother, Alvin Metcalf of Rockford, IL; and a sister, Merle Reece of Rockford.

Visitation will be 5-8 pm Wednesday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home in Jonesboro.

Graveside services will be 10:30 am Thursday at Mt. Zion Cemetery at Walcott with John Mark Wilson and Kenneth Overton officiating.

Active pallbearers will include Bob Andrews, Casey Couch, Joey Massey, Zachary Moran, Light Roberts, and Christopher Songer.

Lasting memorials can be made to the Brookland Church of Christ.
