Lucy O'Neal Bass, 87, Pocahontas, Arkansas passed away Sunday, September 4, 2011. Mrs. Bass was born Febuary 26, 1924 in Dundee, Mississippi to Thomas O'Neal and Lottie Densmore O'Neal.

Mrs. Bass is survived by 3 sons, David Varner (Peggy) of Marianna, Arkansas, Walter Varner (Patty) of Poplar Grove, Arkansas and James Guest of Elaine, Arkansas; 2 daughters, Daisy Wilson (Tom) of Imboden, Arkansas and Patsy Winters (Sammy) of Imboden; 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Frances Taylor of Myrtle, Mississippi; 2 brothers, Eugene O'Neal (Barbara) of Portales, New Mexico and David O'Neal (Shirley) of Rock Falls, Illinois; and a large loving family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; 1 son, Frank Simon; and 1 daughter, Carolyn Simon.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jason O'Neal, Keith Wilson, Kevan Wilson, Jason Olson, Brad Guest and Sammy Winters.

Services for Lucy Bass will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Roller-Citizens. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. at Roller-Citizens. Burial will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery in West Helena. Reverend Wally Varner will officiate.
