Charles Kirk "Charlie" Dilley, 78, of West Helena, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Forrest City Memorial Hospital. Charles was born October 8, 1932 to the late Paul William Dilley and Elsie Juanita Shinaberry Dilley. He was a well-known local barber, a veteran, mason, and a member of the American Legion for 56 years.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Dilley of West Helena; 3 sons, David Kirk Dilley (Joanne) of Benicia, California, Dwight Duane Dilley (Deborah) of Lyon, Mississippi, and Doug Andrews (Trina) of Heber Springs, Arkansas; 3 daughters, Georgia Maxine Lynn (Mark) of Lexa, Arkansas, Becky Jean Burton (Dennis) of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, and Audrey Myers (Jamie) of West Helena; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; a sister, Janet Ervine of Barrie, Ontario, Canada; 4 nieces and 1 nephew; and many cousins.
Funeral services for Charles Dilley will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, December 17, 2010 at Roller-Citizens. Visitation will be held prior to the service Friday from 12-2 p.m. at Roller-Citizens. Reverend Dusty Rhodes will officiate. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena.
Pallbearers are Laymon Piercy, Skeet Seaton, Dennis Burton, Mark Lynn, Jason Burton, and Colin Burton.
