Jerry Haskel Bickers, 69, of Pleasant Plains passed away Thursday, January 27, 2005 at White River Medical Center in Batesville

He was born Friday, October 4, 1935 in Floral, Arkansas the son of William Haskel Bickers and Wilma Marie Davis Bickers.

He was a farmer and loved being outdoors and gardening. He liked to keep things simple and was an individualist. He was a member of the Floral Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Vada Joy Clark Bickers of Pleasant Plains; two daughters, Susan Caplener and Lucinda Bickers both of Fayetteville; a granddaughter, Katie Caplener; his mother, Wilma Bickers of Batesville; and a sister Janet Hearyman of Bald Knob, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Launa LaFera.

Pallbearers are Mark Hearyman, Marty Hearyman, Dwight McKee, Tom LaFera, Charles Brown, and Darrell Caplener.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 30, 2005 at the Cornerstone Methodist Church near Pleasant Plains with Rommie Cheshier officiating.

Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 PM Saturday, January 29, 2005.

Burial will be in Putman Cemetery in Pleasant Plains under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville. (870) 793-4161
