James D. "Dan" Tillman, 98, of Elaine, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at his home. Mr. Tillman was born to the late Dan Loongino Tillman and Kate Manning Tillman June 15, 1912 in D'Lo, Mississippi. He was of the Methodist faith, a member of the American Legion for 65 years, and served in the United States Army during World War II.

He is survived by two sons, Harold Tillman and Sonny Tillman, both of Elaine; two grandchildren, Mark Edward Tillman of Rogers, Arkansas and Christopher Eric Tillman of Elaine; two great-grandchildren, Grayson Tillman and Lola Clair Tillman, both of Rogers; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Hazel Tillman, two sisters and four brothers.

Graveside services for Dan Tillman will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 29, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Roller-Citizens. Reverend Luke Watson will officiate.
