Bobby Frank Turney, age 72, of Harrison, departed this life on Thursday, August 19, 2010, at the Hospice House in Harrison, AR. Bob was born in Harrison on October 28, 1937, to Frank and Veda (Newman) Turney. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Betty Lou Freeman; and his brother-in-law, Rudy Freeman.

Bobby was a member of the Bear Creek Springs Baptist Church. He was an executive with Wortz Cracker Company. Bob loved the outdoors, fishing, and hunting; he especially loved hunting with his dog, Queenie.

Bobby Frank Turney leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Marilyn Kilgore Turney, of the home; a son, Bobby Turney, of Harrison, AR; and a brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Lorain Turney. He is also survived by a host of other relatives and dear friends throughout the community.

Visitation was Saturday, August 21, 2010, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.

Funeral service was Saturday, August 21, 2010, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with Bro. Mark Enloe, Bro. Ken Gibson, and Bro. Tom Hill officiating.

Pallbearers were Bobby's son, Bobby Turney, Todd Hunt, Steve Spreutels, Bobby's nephews, Ricky Henderson, Michael Henderson, Shane Horton, John Turney, Shane Kilgore and Patrick Kilgore.

Honorary pallbearers were Ben Martin, Bud Martin, Mike McCoy, Joe Luney, Billy Hunter, Jim Wiseman and the staff of Hospice of the Hills Hospice House.

Interment was in Maple Leaf Cemetery.
