LaWanda Bourland Steele, age 50, of Benton, died March 14, 2010 from complications following injuries sustained on December 1, 2009.

She is predeceased by her biological father Bob Bourland of Texas, grandparents, and her late husband Curtis Steele of Benton.

She is survived by her daughter Lendsi Allen Stewart of Little Rock; her mother and step-father Tommie and Wallace Hall of Malvern; siblings, Deborah Carson of Benton, Jenifer Prather, and Dale Bourland of Malvern, extended family including Mark Hall, Susan Davis, Kim Hall, Elizabeth Ferrell, Steven, Sydnee, Jordan, and Karley Steele; dearly loved nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, special friends from the Glen Rose Community, and her devoted pet Chloe who didn't know she was a dog.

Known as "Wani" to her close family she will be mourned by all.

LaWanda requested no visitation or service.

Cremation is under the direction of Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton (501-315-4047).
